Richard Cyr and Mathieu Venière-Cyr are a father-and-son duo based in Québec City, where they handcraft traditional musical spoons from Canadian maple wood. Richard, a self-taught woodworker, started the business in 1997 after a career as an environmental technician. Mathieu joined later, bringing marketing expertise and a shared passion for folk music and Québécois heritage. Inspired by nostalgia and community, they?ve built a joyful craft rooted in tradition, and have partnered with hundreds of retailers worldwide, growing from humble beginnings to a team of 10 in two workshops that are "full of character and built with love."

Great gift!

I am not musical at all but bought this for a very musically gifted friend and she loved everything about it. She said it was very high quality and was something she had never seen before so was very excited to try it out.
