Philip Gaffney lives in the picturesque Irish village of Naul, in North County Dublin. His studio, situated in the corn mill of a 400-year-old forge on the Delvin River, overlooks a waterfall across from the Black Castle. For more than three decades, he, his family, and a close-knit group of artists have handmade pieces that tell the story of Ireland's myths, magic, and history. "I'm blessed to live in a country with inspiration in the air I breathe," he says. "The legends and romance of Ireland are infinite."

Bigger than expected in the best way
This item arrived bigger than I expected, and that turned into a pleasant surprise. The size gives it a stronger presence than I pictured, which makes it stand out right away. A truly CHERISHED gift!
My mother-in-law loved that this gift came with information about the makers and the product's history. Her family connections to Ireland and the heritage made this gift all the better.
