After studying visual arts and teaching elementary school art for five years, she began painting portraits inspired by her beloved Wheaten Terrier, Lucy. What started as a personal project soon grew into a thriving art practice devoted to capturing the soulful spirit of pets on canvas. Working from her basement studio in New York, Suzanne paints expressive animal portraits in rich oils, drawn to the medium's depth, texture, and ability to bring fur, eyes, and tiny details to life. Her heartfelt work has comforted pet lovers around the world with lasting tributes to their furry family members.
