A little breeze is all it takes to set this garden sculpture dancing. Metalsmith Chris Crooks plays with balance, movement, and a touch of visual magic, creating a steel silhouette that gently bobs and spins atop its slender perch while somehow remaining poised above the garden. Personalized with a name or message, it becomes an eye-catching marker for a favorite outdoor space, growing even more beautifully weathered as the seasons pass.

Personalize with up to 26 characters and choose from four designs including heart, hummingbird, cardinal, or butterfly.
Behaves similarly to a weather vane, spinning and bobbing in the wind on a dome and pin balancing mechanism.
Made from 14 gauge cold rolled steel, with the half dome welded onto an 18 3/4" rod.
An age-acceleration process creates a ruddy rust patina that deepens and becomes more striking over time.
Some assembly required, placing the stake 3-4 inches into soil before setting the triangular fulcrum on top.

“I started out from my garage. As the business grew, and my wife’s and neighbors' patience stretched, it was time to move to an industrial space. There I can bang and grind at all hours of the night. It's 1,000 square feet of pure metalworking nirvana.”

Chris Crooks took a winding road to get to where he is now—creating imaginative lawn sculptures inspired by the Southwest landscape he calls home. After graduating from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, Chris worked in advertising, then ran a printing business with his wife, while painting during his free time. It was when the couple moved to Tucson that Chris collaborated with a metal art manufacturer and fell in love with the art form. He now designs and creates sculptures in his studio at the foot of the Santa Rita Mountains. "I always wanted to make a living doing something genuinely enjoyable," he says. "To get up in the morning raring to go, and never having enough time to do everything you want to do."

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Bag. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.
