What Makes It Uncommon

As color spreads across the faint outlines in Tiffany Ascensio's watercolor workbook, a few minutes away from the holiday bustle become a Christmas picture made by hand. Twelve festive sketches offer a welcoming place to begin, with lessons in brushwork and color mixing to help new painters find their confidence. The paints and tools are included, and each finished page can become a framed decoration, a holiday card, or a gift with a story behind every brushstroke.

  • Includes a workbook with 12 outlined Christmas illustrations, a card of 12 hand-mixed watercolor paint dots, a size 2 synthetic round brush, and a pipette.
  • Six instructional pages cover techniques, brush basics, color theory, and a color-mixing matrix to paint.
  • A drop of water activates each paint dot; follow the tutorials to paint the outlined designs.
  • Workbook measures 5.5" x 8.5"; remove the binding and trim finished paintings to 5" x 7" for framing or gifting.
  • Wash the brush after use, let paint dots air dry, and store the kit in a clean, dry place.
  • Handmade in Missouri.

Tiffany Ascensio

After hearing "I could never do this" and "I'm not creative" while selling her original greeting cards, Kansas City artist Tiffany Ascensio decided she wanted to help people discover otherwise. Painting had helped her through the pandemic, and she turned those lessons into watercolor workbooks that invite others to explore their creativity. With help from her mom, Tiffany handprints, hole-punches, and binds each book, embracing watercolor’s unpredictable nature as a lesson in letting go of perfection. Her favorite feedback comes from people who never felt artistic, then found themselves making little masterpieces. Supervising it all: Mila, her Yorkie-Poo and CCO (Chief Cuteness Officer).
