5 stars out of 5Perfect gift
I recently went through a "rough patch" personally. I packed up my belongings and moved to a small mountain town in the high country of North Carolina where I knew no one. I met three women during the first few weeks. Over the past 2 years, each of them touched my life in ways that helped me through my grief and fear of starting over. In other words each of them helped me "course correct" my life, putting me on a better path. This year, as Christmas approached, I wanted to give each of them something to let them know how much I appreciated their unique contributions. These women helped me discover my "true north" again! I saw these compasses in an online advertisement and thought what better way to acknowledge them than with something which helps us all keep moving through life in the right direction! To expressed my deep gratitude, I wrote a sweet message sharing the "gift" each of them gave me. The compasses arrived and are GORGEOUS. I can't wait to see there faces when the read the inscription.

5 stars out of 5The perfect gift
I cannot think of another gift that would make my brother and his wife as sentimentally happy. The 2 stoppers I bought contain sand from the beach where they met 43 years ago and another beach from our hometown. Perfect, too, as they are wine lovers! A beautiful way to remember their first meeting and our hometown.

This is a gift for a mentor at work who unfortunately is leaving the organization for other opportunities. I wanted her to always remember how she shaped my career and forever changed my journey.

5 stars out of 5The perfect gift for anyone long-distance...
I'm currently finishing up graduate school and I live a decent distance away from my family. While my mom is able to visit my grandma often, I'm not always able to drop in even though I wish I could. My grandma lives alone and is starting to show signs of memory loss, so this was the perfect gift for her and I to let each other know we're thinking about one another. It also helps with her memory, since she has to remember what color was on the frame to see if I've touched it. We used to share a wall when she'd come to visit when I was younger and we would knock on it back and forth before bed time. Now, it's a new way of knocking for us. My heart gets so happy when I see it's changed color, and it's amazing how we can feel so close even though we're far apart.

Q: What to buy as a retirement gift for a colleague who travels extensively? A: This Travel Keepsake Library. The photos don't do it justice. It is effectively a display case for travel memorabilia, with a page of stickers to personalize the compartments. It comes in a box that requires no giftwrapping, in an outer box to protect it in shipment. I will buy this again for any traveler on my list.
