I bought it for my son for Christmas
He hasn't made the popcorn yet but he was intrigued about having popcorn popped off the cob. He loves popcorn so I'm anxious to hear what he thinks of it.

Popcorn on the Cob!
It was a fun and yummy gift for a large family gathering at Thanksgiving for all! Three generations loved the treat and the appropriateness of corn for the holiday! I usually send a present at Christmas that gets lost in the mountain of gifts. This may become a tradition because they will remember and look forward to a new tradition!

Fun product
I bought this for my 11 and 16-year-old grandchildren for Valentine's Day and they had a blast with them. They had no idea you could actually pop popcorn on a cob so it was great fun. The product worked perfectly and they got lots of popcorn.

Fun Solid Product
This is a fun little product. Sure, it's a gimmick. But my kids loved it, and the popcorn is great! The full cob doesn't always pop, but we enjoy it for the fun.

Cool idea, not so perfect execution
I got this gift as a gift for my parents for the holidays, who have enjoyed artisan popcorn and using their air-popper in the past several years. The box was slightly opened/dented when I received it, which was a shame when giving as a gift, but the popcorn and bags were not damaged. My parents were intrigued by the concept of popping little cobs in the microwave, but they were disappointed that most of the cobs have left about 1/4 of the cob unpopped when following the directions. They have tried putting the cob in the bag back in the microwave for a little bit to get it popped, but it doesn't result in more than a few extra popped kernels. They are not fond of waste, so this was disappointing to them. Whenever they use their air popper, they get most if not all of their kernels popped but this does not seem to be possible with these cobs. The amount that does pop results in enough for the two of them to enjoy together comfortably, which is nice. They liked the taste and texture of this popcorn, but they ultimately decided it wasn't anything special to write home about. I think this was a memorable gift for them, but they ultimately were not satisfied with the result.

A Unique Delicious Taste of History
My dad loved his popcorn! It was tasty and fun to pop. This was a unique gift and the first time he had popcorn like this! It is perfect for watching football games and programs on TV. You add your own toppings, so the popcorn isn't too greasy.

FAQs
1. How do you pop popcorn on the cob — do you need any special equipment?
Popping popcorn on the cob requires no special equipment at all. You simply place the cob in a paper bag and microwave it — that's it. The process is as easy as standard microwave popcorn, but far more fun and unique. Start at the lowest suggested time to avoid burning, and keep in mind that it's perfectly normal for a few kernels to remain unpopped on the cob.
2. Is popcorn on the cob a good gift for kids and teenagers?
Popcorn on the cob makes an excellent gift for kids and teenagers because the novelty of popping corn directly off a real cob is genuinely surprising and exciting for most young people. Kids from ages 11 and up have had a blast discovering that popcorn can be popped straight from the cob, and the hands-on experience adds a fun, interactive element that goes beyond just eating a snack.
3. What does popcorn on the cob taste like compared to regular microwave popcorn?
Popcorn on the cob tastes noticeably fresher and more natural than regular microwave popcorn. The kernels pop into white, light, and fluffy pieces with a mild, clean flavor — and since no butter or seasoning is pre-added, you have full control over toppings. Many people describe it as rediscovering what fresh popcorn was truly meant to taste like.
4. Is popcorn on the cob a healthy snack option?
Popcorn on the cob is a healthier snack option compared to standard microwave popcorn because it contains no pre-added butter, oils, or artificial flavorings. Since you add your own toppings after popping, you control exactly how much — or how little — butter and seasoning goes on, making it easy to keep it light. It's a naturally grown product, which adds to its appeal as a wholesome treat.
5. What occasions or holidays is popcorn on the cob good for as a gift?
Popcorn on the cob is a versatile gift that works beautifully for a wide range of occasions and holidays, including Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day, and birthdays. Its novelty makes it especially memorable at family gatherings where multiple generations are present, and it has even inspired families to make it an annual holiday tradition. It's also a perfect solution for hard-to-shop-for recipients like teenagers or people who seem to have everything.

Can the corn cobs be broken in half and the bags be re-used? I like popcorn but not an entire bag at one time. Thanks!
Verified reply from Melody
If you try to break the cobs, the kernels might fall off! The bags can be reused as long as there are no holes or tears in it. If you do try it, let us know how it turns out.
