Great birthday present!!
I purchased this for a friend for her 30th birthday and he absolutely loved it. She's a murder mystery buff and it's been a fun and soothing way to pass the time in the evening.

Impossible, also there are errors
Normally would love this, but the answers were such a stretch. The artist's drawings were obscure, which should not be the case if the entire answer is based on the images. I could barely make out the text they drew in the images, which included clues in some cases. The one puzzle with the math patterns has 2 errors in the answer key as confirmed by reddit threads. I spent hours going crazy on that math one. One puzzle said "turns out they all did it" and the way to know that was because they all had murder weapons on them. Meanwhile by "on them" they literally mean stripes in their outfit have one resembling a knife? The stripes on a skirt look like a sword? This is wild to me that this went to print. One answer literally wanted you to see the acronym SLBF and deduce it clearly means the "society of lepidopterists and butterfly fanciers" because the murder scenes had a net, a box, magnifying glass, empty jar, paper envelopes, or tweezers. Like what?!!! Luckily this wasn't expensive. But RUN from this product. I am floored this is rated so high.

A great gift for the mystery lovers in your lives. They will find the stories both compelling and challenging. I bought this particular book for my wife, who fancies herself an aficionado. After the first story, she exclaimed, "It's hard!" After the second story, she said, "I figured it out, but my clues didn't match!" that it didn't stop her though, as she dug right into the third mystery.

Good concept but not the best execution
This book is definitely my kind of book, and if it was executed well - I would have for sure loved it. However, I wouldn't recommend it due to some issues with the execution. I think the writers are from England so it was sometimes difficult for me (an American) to understand some of the writing/solutions. Additionally, the clues were often times not helpful, and I would also mention that the illustrations, while cool and interesting, were sometimes a little "muddy" and hard to see well.

Great Xmas gift for my brother!
Bought this as a surprise random thing for my brother and his new family. They've only skimmed it so far but they say they love how it looks and how it's written - his wife loves reading and he likes puzzles so this was a great cost effective gift for them. Can't give it 5 stars until they finish it tho xD

The book is better quality than I expected, I got it as a gift for my boyfriend who can be picky and he LOVED it. We have had so much fun looking at all of the gorgeous art and solving the problems together. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a no idea what to get somebody! It's a super unique gift.
