What Makes Chili Threads Uncommon

This traditional garnish, known as sil-gochu in Korean, is created by harvesting red chili peppers and allowing them to dry, which concentrates the flavor and deepens their color. After being de-seeded, they’re julienned using specialized blades to create the super fine slivers of deliciousness that are a mainstay in Korean cooking.
