This was perfect
This was so great. I googled cardboard cutting for kids and this popped up and I couldn't believe it. It looked perfect. I bought it for my 5 year old grandson but because he has a 3 yr old brother and 7 yr old sister, I bought 2 sets. After the presents were opened, the 3 children set about to work on the cardboard boxes I had brought with me. All you could hear was the cutting of cardboard! They were very engrossed.

A Fun Way to Reuse Cardboard Shipping Boxes! #sweepstakes
It has been fun creating different products out of the cardboard shipping boxes. We are hoping we can find additional clips/fasteners.

Busy little cardboard engineer
My 6 year old grandson is obsessed with building things from cardboard boxes and he has been using scissors to do it, but it's very difficult. He makes machines and little buildings full of furniture and accessories. He's too young to use a glue gun and has to get a grown-up to help with that. When I saw this I knew he would love it, and I was right. It's so much easier for him to cut out pieces of all sizes, and the fasteners that came with it have given him lots of new ideas for contraptions. He stays busy for hours with his projects.

Great gift!
I was so excited to see this product! My 6 year old nephew build constantly with cardboard boxes and they go through A LOT of duct tape. I saw this and knew it would be perfect, and really hoped it would live up to expectation. I'm happy to say it does! My brother, who is a mechanical engineer, gives it great reviews! They have a wonderful time building and creating together and this kit gives them new options for their creations! And uses less tape!

The look on my daughters face opening the box was priceless!
At first when my daughter unwrapped the box she wasn't sure what it was, but as soon as my husband explained she was so excited she was bouncing. She loves to create all kinds of things with cardboard and now she has more tools to keep expand her creations.

Gift to make cardboard creations easier to make rather than just using scissors.
FAQs
1. What age is this cardboard building kit good for?
This cardboard building kit is great for kids as young as 3 years old, though it works especially well for children ages 5–8 who are ready to take on bigger building projects. Kids as young as 3 can use the tools with some guidance, while children ages 5 and up can often work more independently — staying engaged with their builds for hours at a time.
2. Can kids use this cardboard building kit without adult help?
Yes, one of the biggest benefits of this cardboard building kit is that it allows kids to build and create largely on their own, without needing an adult to cut cardboard or operate a glue gun. Children who previously relied on grown-ups for cutting and gluing can now take a box, form a plan, and start building independently — adding to their projects day after day without waiting for help.
3. What can kids build with a cardboard cutting and fastening kit?
With a cardboard cutting and fastening kit like this one, kids can build an impressive range of creations — from castles, forts, and multi-room houses with stairs and roofs, to robots, stadiums, buses with wheels, instruments, and entire miniature cities. The included screws and fasteners make it possible to add moving parts and hinged connections, opening up far more complex designs than scissors and tape alone would allow.
4. Is this cardboard building kit reusable?
Yes, the cardboard building kit is reusable — the screws and fasteners can be removed from one project and used again in the next, so kids aren't limited to a single build. This makes it a great long-term creative tool, especially since empty cardboard boxes from deliveries and packages provide an endless free supply of building material.
5. Is this cardboard building kit a good gift for kids who love to build and craft?
This cardboard building kit makes an excellent gift for kids who love to build and craft, particularly those who are already using cardboard boxes, scissors, and tape to make things on their own. It takes their creativity to the next level by giving them kid-friendly cutting tools and reusable fasteners, enabling more complex structures with moving parts — and it doubles as a screen-free STEAM activity that the whole family can enjoy together.
