No one can say that 2016 is a year we\u2019ll easily forget. In between the highs and the lows (and the revamped TV shows and\u00a0movie\u00a0reunions)<\/a>, our Instagram<\/a> feeds were full of trends that made us want to de-clutter<\/a> our homes, dress in head-to-toe athleisure<\/a> gear, and challenge ourselves to freeze into crazy poses<\/a>. Here at UncommonGoods, we fell in love with a few of these trends right alongside our customers. We took a look back at some of our favorites from the\u00a0past 12 months, and provided a preview\u00a0for the year ahead!<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe it was because NASA\u2019s Juno spacecraft finally reached its destination<\/a> after much anticipation, or because we witnessed the largest “supermoon<\/a>” in nearly 70 years, but many of us found inspiration from our place in the cosmos this year. We can’t taco bout’ 2016 without a thumbs up for\u00a0Tuesdays (and most every other day) filled with tortillas, hot sauce, and guacamole. There’s nothing we love more than designs that go against the norm. That\u2019s why when we discovered Christine Schmidt’s<\/a> mismatched designs, we couldn\u2019t wait to work with her to create more canny combos. To our delight, mismatched<\/a> turned out to be the perfect match for our quirky customers.<\/p>\n

After we\u00a0launched our first Kickstarter project<\/a>\u00a0this year for the MLB Game-Used Baseball Beanie<\/a>, we met many customers who are looking for a new way to commemorate the timeless connection of America\u2019s Pastime. If the\u00a0popularity of pop culture reunions<\/a> is any indicator, sports fans aren’t the only ones\u00a0craving creative\u00a0ways to preserve memories. Whether it’s reminiscing\u00a0about your favorite National Park<\/a>, or re-living classic lessons from the Mad Hatter<\/a>, analog mementos\u00a0aren’t going out of style anytime soon.<\/p>\n
