Before moving to New York City, I wanted to learn more about natural sugars, so I began helping a nearby maple farmer during sugar season, and a neighborhood bee-keeper with honey harvesting. I love the idea of looking to people in your own community for knowledge and expertise. People love sharing what they\u2019re passionate about and you\u2019re getting valuable insights straight from the source – and I got paid in syrup, which was amazing.<\/p>\n
